Bike PAcking italy

Headspace was the only goal. I plotted a route to see friends from the industry I’ve worked with over the years including Q36.5 and textile genius Luigi Bergamo, master frame builders Pegoretti and Alberto Fonte of UDOG, a new innovative shoe brand where I got to see some upcoming products like the new Distanza Gravel shoe and a new prototype I’m sworn to secrecy on. I used the UDOG Tensione road shoes on the trip, incredible performance for the price and using the Q36.5 Woolf collection kept the elements at bay. Brooks luggage worked a treat, no leaks and super stable.

The route took from Verona to Bolzano back to Verona then Bologna, Sienna, Radda and back to Verona via Padova. Picking late February probably wasn’t the smartest move as I faced gale force winds, driving rain and snow when I hit the Apennines but as my first true solo bike packing trip I returned with a clear head, I felt and returned stronger mentally and achieved things I thought beyond me.

This is what I love about cycling, travel, meeting people and the sense of freedom. Thanks to booking.com and mastercard for the support [tongue firmly in cheek].
