SWISSNEYLAND
It’s been nearly four years since I ran my last tour. From 2012 to 2019 I was lucky enough to spend most of my time creating trips throughout Europe and riding in dream destinations like Girona , Tuscany, the Italian Alps and Dolomites. I got to ride some of Europes most iconic climbs and I met some incredible people. I miss the one to one interaction, looking back some of the conversations I had and the way people opened up while riding I surprised I didn’t see the connection between cycling and openness sooner. While guiding people would really open up even if they barley knew you.
One of my favourite places was and is Switzerland, it has it all. Breathtaking scenery, incredible infrastructure a variety of cultures and a warm welcome wherever you go. Passes like San Gottardo, Furka, Nufenen, San Bernardino, Grimsel, Susten and more. Each Canton having its own culture, three languages in one ride. As a cyclists who loves to travel and the high mountains it has everything I want.
Sadly the Pandemic and Brexit put pay to Sommet Cycling my business but those years on the road and the memories are still strong.
